The PCA Project serves to expand NCH treatment and nursing service areas with Emergency, Women’s Services, Critical Care and Med/Surg units. The Level 1 Emergency Department provides (52) Treatment Rooms overall with (11) committed to pediatric service. Women’s Services includes (4) Triage Rooms for Obstetrics, (12) LDR’s, (3) C-Section Rooms, (46) Pre and Post Partum Rooms, and (2) Newborn Baby Nurseries. Critical Care Services provide (30) Patient Rooms. The addition of (124) Private Med/Surg rooms will reduce the use of semi-private patient rooms campus-wide in effort to increase patient satisfaction.
