Northwestern Memorial Healthcare (NMHC) replaced the existing Lake Forest Hospital. The new facility includes a 379,910 sf hospital and a 108,216 sf clinic. The new hospital is comprised of 96 inpatient beds with three 24-bed Med/Surg units, a 12-bed ICU, and a 12-bed Step Down Unit; Birthing Service including 5 LDR’s, 2 C-Section, 2-Triage, 2-Ante-Partum, 2-Recovery, 18-bed Postpartum, and a 12-bed Well Baby Nursery; Emergency / Short Stay Services including a 16-room ED, 8-bed Observation unit; Medical Imaging (2-CT, 2-MRI, 2-Nuc Med, 2-General Rad, 2-Fluoro, 2-Ultrasound); a Surgical / Procedural Platform with 8 OR’s, 3 Invasive Imaging Rooms, 5 Procedure rooms (GI/Endo/Minor), 12-bed PACU, 40-bed Prep/Recovery; and Support Services (Lab, Pharmacy, Central Sterile Processing, Materials Management, Biomed, EVS, Engineering, Central Distribution and Respiratory Therapy). In addition to the new hospital, NMHC planned a 108,216 sf Outpatient Clinic which includes Women’s Imaging, GI Procedure, Radiation Oncology, the Ortho / Neuro Institute, the Bluhm Cardio Vascular Institute, the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Institute, and various other specialty clinics.
The scope of service provided by Walsh included Medical Equipment Planning, Revit Placement Drawings, Procurement, Delivery & Installation and Activation services.
