Brian Walsh is an Associate Consultant for the Walsh Consulting Group providing over 10 years of experience in medical equipment planning and BIM services. His primary responsibilities include medical equipment planning, BIM modeling, procurement, vendor research, and database development.

Mr. Walsh’s experience includes the following:

  • Managing all planning, BIM, and procurement for 8,500 sf renovation and expansion including exam rooms, procedure rooms, x-ray rooms.

  • Researching and developing detailed equipment specifications for various healthcare departments including but not limited to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behavioral Health, Neurology, Radiology, Pre-Ops and Surgery.

  • Populating architectural floor plans with digital models of medical equipment for multiple concurrent hospitals and clinics in Revit Architecture.

  • Budgeting and planning specifications for a university health center including 15 exam rooms, radiographic room, c-arm room, recovery bays, physical therapy gym, treatment rooms and support spaces.

  • Coordinating with vendors and architects to create accurate three-dimensional models of medical equipment for use in projects.

  • Supervising the medical equipment database maintenance, development, and Revit synchronization.

  • Interacting with vendors in development of specifications and maintaining vendor, manufacturer, and equipment databases.

  • Managing a 3 phase procurement process for 11,000 sf institute including exam rooms, procedure rooms, stress & echo, and workrooms.
