BIM Planner

Niel Spidle is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Planner for the Walsh Consulting Group. His primary responsibilities include BIM management, project team support, vendor research, and database maintenance.

Mr. Spidle’s responsibility includes the following:

  • BIM management for a new 450,000 sf 9-story Inpatient Building including, but not limited to specialties in Emergency, Radiology, OR, PACU, Labor and Delivery, Med/Surge.

  • Leading BIM development and collaboration for Medical Equipment for a 260,000 sf Cancer Center including specialties in Imaging, Pharmacy, Outpatient Clinics, Urgent Care and support spaces.

  • Collaboration with project consultants developing and maintaining equipment placements for various projects.
  • Participation in architectural design meetings with respect to reviewing medical equipment placement in Revit model.

  • Managing the medical equipment database, maintaining attribute specifications between database and Revit model.
  • Creating accurate Revit families of medical equipment for use in projects.
  • Innovating new ways to streamline Revit modeling productivity.
